And other times, I had to ask nicely for the clerk to bag my items while I was processing my charged items through, and the clerk responded with attitude and rolled her eyes. Am I missing something? Was there a rule out to indicate that the checkout person is now exempt just because I bring my own bag(s)?. Even at Costco, without asking will help place items in a box if I opted to accept a box. Were the sample clerks I referenced making up the bagging service exemption rule on their own?
